Email Peter

Peter was admitted as a Solicitor in 1964 after serving Articles of Clerkship with a large firm in Coventry. He began work in Spalding as an assistant solicitor, immediately after admission.

By 1966 he was sole principal of the firm, changing its name to Peter Frost & Co.  In those days specialisation was not considered necessary and as well as acquiring a reputation in the local magistrates’ court, Peter was handling a widely varied caseload including substantial commercial matters and property law.

In 1988 he began to concentrate increasingly on civil litigation and in 1991 passed further examinations to become a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.  On a number of occasions he has been appointed by the President of The Law Society of England and Wales to arbitrate in disputes.

When Peter decided to merge with another firm, Calthrops (where Peter’s father had been an Articled Clerk before World War II) seemed an obvious choice.  The two firms amalgamated with effect from 1st July 1999, the firm’s title included the fact of that incorporation.  The Partners in Calthrops continued as before and Peter’s status has been that of Consultant ever since.
