Costs of Lasting Powers of Attorney

No one likes to think about losing the ability to manage their own affairs, it can happen. Age, disability or injury can cause serious difficulties for people, their families and carers. The legislation around health and care support services is constantly changing.

If a lack of capacity means that some or all of the important decision making might involve either a local authority or the Court of Protection, we can help you or your loved ones make arrangements that avoid these remote decision makers being involved.

We can help you through this process.

How much does the service cost?

Single

However, this amount may increase if substantial amendments are made and re-drafts necessary.

Double

However, this amount may increase if substantial amendments are made and re-drafts necessary.

Please Note

Our costs are calculated on the basis that you will be attending our offices to sign your Lasting Power of Attorney documentation – which is our normal and preferred practice.

The Court of Protection will charge a fee of £82.00 to register each Lasting Power of Attorney which must be paid to the Court at the time of Registration and is separate to our fees.

If you are unable to do so then we can either arrange to visit you at home – subject to an additional charge of:

Home visits – costs to cover travel time and fuel.
